The growing field of public archaeology needs a unique skillset that goes beyond the requirements of recording and reporting archaeology. This is all about funding sources, management of expectations, running sites while ensuring the participants are enjoying the experience, learning when they want, and creating a constant narrative for the site.
The training is given as part of active projects, and is limited to 2 people at any one time. This has transferable skills into the commercial world as well, as it promotes time management, personnel management and non-linear recording. In addition, training is given in public presentation and communication, from lectures to radio and TV appearance.
Projects last from 7-14 days and skills offered are based on your particular requirements . Please get in touch to be made aware of future projects.
