A joint project as part of the Peter Potter Lost Landscapes project with the Amisfield Preservation Trust. It included the involvement of over 180 people ranging through local school classes, groups from Tynepark Centre, North Berwick Day Centre, Dad’s Work and local volunteers as well as Students from Edinburgh University.
The programme was constructed to have flexibility in delivery from training in excavation techniques to enjoyable hour long taster sessions for schools with classroom follow-up.
The excavation took place within an 18th century Walled Garden and concentrated on a series of lost glasshouses.
