A successful joint presentation of Art and Archaeology with Kate Sloan of the Peter Potter Gallery. Interpreting the tensions and potential collaborations between the two disciplines. Using Papple Cottage, East Lothian as an inspiration for recording the lost memories that take place when a building is demolished or altered extensively AND Witch, where contemporary Art is in effect the only way to “excavate” the intangible of the witch trials and executions.
All in all a good presentation – and other interesting sessions were attended on Public Archaeology and Discovering teh Archaeologists of Europe which highlighted the differences as much as the commonality
